All of our floors are made using 12mm Spruce Plywood on 50x38mm PAR (Planed All Round) timbers fixed using 50mm galvanised ring nails at 300mm centers.
The walls for our Classic Range are made using 50x38mm PAR (Planed All Round) timbers
The walls for our Superior Range are made in the same way using 50x50mm PAR timbers
The walls for our Workshops are made using 75x50mm or 100x50mm PAR timbers
The cladding that we use as standard for our timber garden buildings is a 19x125mm Swedish
Redwood Rebated Shiplap board. The cladding is fixed to the studwork using 38mm galvanised ring nails.
In addition to our standard cladding we offer the following alternatives:
Thermowood (Varying profiles) and Western Red Cedar. Depending on your preference you can have your cladding fixed horizontally or vertically.
The size of your chosen timber building will determine the roof construction. For smaller sized buildings the roof will generally be made using 12mm Spruce Plywood fixed with 50mm galvanised ring nails to 50x50mm PAR timber roof purlins. For larger sized buildings the roof purlins used are 75x50mm. All larger sized buildings will have a roof truss or trusses at varying centers determined by the overall length of the building.
All our standard buildings are finished with a heavy duty 40kg polyester based roofing felt laid onto a bituminuous adhesive to guarantee added protection against water penetration.
