Floors

All of our floors are constructed using 12mm Spruce WeatherGuard plywood fixed using 50mm galvanised ring nails to 50 x 38mm floor runners positioned at a maximum of 300mm centres. The grain of the plywood will run opposite to the floor runners providing maximum strength.

Wall Framing

We use three different sizes of eased edge framing depending on the garden building that you choose.

All the timber we use is from certified suppliers using the FSC® Certified Chain of Custody scheme ensuring your garden buildings are produced from a sustainable source.

Insulation

To insulate the floors, walls and roof of our garden buildings we use Celotex GA4000. It is a versatile, high performance, rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board.

Wall Cladding

Our standard cladding is a 19 x 125mm Quality Swedish/Finnish fifths Redwood rebated shiplap board.

All the timber we use is from certified suppliers using the FSC® Certified Chain of Custody scheme ensuring your garden buildings are produced from a sustainable source.

We also offer a wide range of alternative claddings ranging from Western Red Cedar, Siberian Larch, Thermowood®, Barn style black featheredge and Cedral low maintenance fibre cladding.


40kg Heavy Duty Polyester Based Roofing Felt.jpg

Roof Finish

The standard finish to the roof of our garden buildings is a 40kg heavy duty polyester based green felt which is applied using a bituminous adhesive and fixed using galvanised felt nails at a maximum of 50mm centres.

We also offer a wide range of alternative roof finishes ranging from Cedar Shingles, Felt Shingles, Firestone EPDM, Slate and for those keen to help protect the environment a living Sedum Roof.

Treatment

Both the floor and roof of your new garden building is treated through a dipping process using a environmentally friendly water based brown wood preservative.

We also offer further protection to your garden building with 2 coats of Sadolin Classic or for a wide range of colours the Sadolin Superdec.
